This is a little difficult to say in detail, as every session is uniquely designed around you but I can tell you what to expect when you contact me, and give a general overview of the approach I will take during our sessions.
After you contact me, I will send you an information sheet and a short medical questionnaire for you to return and then we will discuss the most appropriate course of sound therapy for you, where each session will be individually designed around you and for you.
Each session will begin with a gentle conversation, initially to set the intention for the healing and subsequently to review and assess progress week on week, then we will spend time working with sound vibrations using the various different instruments and the voice, all tailored to your needs in that present moment, often involving guided breathwork and visualisations, and ending with a period of silence to integrate the experience and a short de-brief, when we will also discuss a suitable daily practice which I will recommend specifically for you between sessions (further details about that in the commitment FAQ below).
The session will be conducted with you lying down comfortably, or sitting if you prefer, as you absorb the healing sounds. Clients remain fully clothed throughout.
Sometimes sessions can be deeply relaxing and you may find yourself drifting off, particularly if you are having a relaxation session to de-stress and unwind, but other sessions can be more interactive and stimulating, dependent on your needs and intention.
It really depends on the issue(s) you are wanting to tackle, and how quickly your body responds to the healing sounds. I have also found that there is a huge difference in getting quicker and longer lasting results when a client takes personal responsibility for their own healing process and commits to 'doing the work' themselves during and in between our sessions (see the FAQ below about commitment)
For my one to one transformational sound therapy sessions, I normally advise an initial consultation and sound session for the first time client, and then a further 3 or 4 sessions once a week if possible. It can be helpful to reassess at this point. Some clients feel this is all the boost they need to kick start their self healing, whilst others like to continue with further sessions. Some then also like to have an on-going , say fortnightly, monthly or bi-monthly 'top up' as you might schedule a regular massage or other self-care treatment. You are a unique vibratory being, so it's important to do what feels right for you.
You can of course book a one-off relaxation session to de-stress and unwind at any time.
The 'services I offer' tab gives further details of this.
Please see the 'services I offer' tab for details of the different one to one and group sessions I can provide and the pricing information
As your healer. my responsibility is to support you on your journey towards self-healing and to facilitate your healing process.
As the client, your responsibilities are equally essential in order to really get the most from our sessions together. I have seen what a difference it makes to the whole process when a client is 100% engaged and ready for change, with a commitment to take ownership of their own well being. It is so important to approach the sessions with an open mind and an open heart, ready to heal and grow and experience real change for the better. You will need to commit to showing up for the sessions ready to release and transform, and to embrace any daily practices I recommend for you between sessions. These daily recommendations will only take 10-15 mins, but can make a huge difference to the overall results from the sound healing and build on the powerful work we do together during each session.
If you make a financial commitment to pay for these sessions, then you will want to commit whole-heartedly to get the most from them. For this reason, I do not sell gift vouchers for my transformation sessions, as personal commitment is so important to the outcomes.
Of course, gift vouchers are available for my relaxation sessions, and make an ideal gift for any loved one at any time.

Things have been more than a little bonkers in our covid world, and in all honesty for me initially the thought of doing sound therapy online was one of those bonkers things! However, having now carried out several online sessions via zoom with really positive feedback from clients, I can honestly say I am totally amazed at how effective they can be. I have seen some really great results with clients across the UK, Europe and beyond!
I can't say that an online session is exactly the same as face to face, because it's not. Sound reaches the body in two ways:
When we use sound in a healing session, you usually experience it both ways. Obviously when you are not physically in the room, you don't get the vibro-acoustics in the same way BUT regardless of this, the psycho acoustic effects of the sound are still able to work powerfully to enable the change you require. Additionally, I can direct you to feel appropriate vibro-acoustic effects during the session, for example by gentle mindful toning or humming to vibrate the body.
If you are not local to Leicestershire, or you prefer to choose distance sessions for whatever reason, I don't think you'll be disappointed!
You can take a look at what my online clients are saying in 'Testimonials'. I think we have all been blown away by the effectiveness of distance sound healing!
I have helped people with a variety of conditions from stress and anxiety, physical pain and emotional pain to personal and spiritual development. You may be struggling with issues related to trauma, grief, addiction, stress, anxiety or major life changes. There comes a time when help may be needed to cope with many of life's challenges.
Generally, people come for sound therapy wanting a change for the better, wanting to feel more positive about themselves and their life. They may want peace, clarity, acceptance, a sense of freedom or of balance.
Many of the people I help are carrying huge amounts of stress, which can be caused by physical pain or emotional pain. It can also be caused by long term traumas, emotions or feelings you've been holding on to, which can affect current personal relationships with others and your relationship with your inner self.
My one to one healing sessions, available virtually or in person, are deeply transformative and necessary for deep healing.
If you don't have a specific issue you want to focus on, you can always take advantage of my one hour relaxation sessions to de-stress and unwind.
I also offer occasional group sound baths.
Please see the 'services I offer' tab for more details
Sound baths are played for a whole group with a group intention, which can be something like bringing in peace and relaxation or opening the heart to love, whereas as you'd guess, individual one to one sessions are tailored specifically for you. In a one to one session we can go very deep, discussing what is causing you any current difficulties and what positive outcomes you are personally wanting. Certain conditions are far more effectively treated in individual sessions, which are suitable for physical, emotional and mental health issues.
Sound baths are a real tonic for stress, bringing deep relaxation and can also help relieve minor conditions like headaches, mental overthinking and minor physical joint pains for example. I intuitively play the instruments very gently, creating beautiful ethereal effects with instruments such as crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, wind gong, soft drums, chimes, tongue drum, Native American flute and gentle, soothing voice. The intention is to bring people back to a state of complete relaxation peace and calm.
A gong bath is often held in a bigger space, as the larger gongs are generally louder and can be more intense, and can fill up a very large hall with sound. Sound baths can be held in smaller, more intimate spaces.
I am very happy to provide group sound baths for you and your friends / colleagues, which we can tailor to your group's requirements. Please contact me to discuss.
My facebook page is always up to date with any upcoming public group events, some of which include larger gong baths and various other events too!
